Course Introduction
The course will provide an excellent foundation for medical engineering staff involved with the maintenance of basic equipment. This programme also covers the basic topics of electrical safety and equipment management.

This course will provide basic knowledge and practical experience on basic active medical devices so that you can safely and competently undertake servicing activities.
Course Objective
- Describe the fundamental building block of medical electronics equipment and its related physiology.
- Describe the principle of operation of medical electronic equipment.
- Identify main hazards associated with basic medical electronics equipment.
- Perform test to assess the electrical safety of basic medical electronics equipment.
- Perform test to assess the performance basic medical electronics equipment.
