Biomedical Technical Competency Program (BTCP)
Course Introduction
This course is recommended for all the Biomedical Technical Personnel and Engineers who require the electrical and technical skills in their daily practice. On the other hand, thus program is also suitable for the personnel who would like to enhance the knowledge of Safety Testing and IEC Standards of Electrical Medical Equipment for their own understanding.
Course Aim
This program aims to equip participants with the skills needed by the industry as well as the Medical Device Authority (MDA), Ministry of Health Malaysia, that every technical personnel should be competent to handle medical devices.
Course Objective
- To provide a sound understanding of the philosophy in Safety Testing of Electrical Medical Equipment
- To provide delegates with a good understanding of biomedical equipment principles, applications and maintenance procedures.
- To equip participants with knowledge on the regulatory requirement of the Medical Device Act 2012 (Act 737).
- To provide delegates with a good understanding of anatomy & physiology of human body.
- To provide participants with a basic understanding of Healthcare Institutions.
Course Prerequisite
Working adults from Medical Device Service Industries (with less than 3-year experience) without relevant competency certificate.
